JENNY FROM ACE OF BASE

Jenny Berggren, lead singer of the internationally renowned Swedish pop group Ace of Base and now solo artist, looked into the face of success rather suddenly at the age of 19.
 
The group’s first two released songs All That She Wants and Wheel Of Fortune coupled in the number one and number two spots on the Danish sale charts before a single publicity photo had ever been snapped of Ace of Base.

Real McCoy is the brainchild of Olaf „O-Jay“ Jeglitza. With his expansive appreciation of all musical genres and his contacts in the burgeoning Berlin club scene, Jeglitza and his musical partner Frank “Quickmix“ Hassas, released their first Mixtapes and songs as Real McCoy in the mid-80´s.

One-time gospel singer Chris Willis is best known as the powerful voice and song writer behind the majority of French producer David Guetta’s chart-topping club anthems. Born and raised in Dayton, OH, Willis began singing in a quartet with his brothers and sisters at his local church. THE EARLY YEARS
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Turbo B. started his music career as a drummer for a heavy metal band in his hometown. After joining the United States Army in July 1985, he completed basic training (C-4-3) at Fort Dix and was transferred to the 8th SC, Redstone Arsenal, AL for advanced training where he qualified to become an ammunition specialist. With his advanced training complete, he was sent to Friedberg, Germany to join the 60th Ordnance Company in Ray Barracks. After completing his service in the Army he returned to the USA but went back to Germany shortly thereafter to tour with The Fat Boys.

In 1990 DJ Rico Sparx discovered his rapping talents and introduced him to Snap! producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti.

CHARVONI

One of the leading exponents of a wave of Italian house music that flourished on the dance floors of the late 80’s and early 90’s, Black Box comprised three Italian studio musicians (Daniele Davoli, Mirko Limoni and Valerio Semplici), collectively known as Groove Groove Melody.

Based in the Reggio Emilia area of northern Italy, the team made use of Katrine (Catherine Quinol) as a front woman for the black box project. Semplici was a clarinet teacher and played in the Music Orchestra in Bologna. Davoli was a well-known Italian club DJ (known as DJ Lelewel), largely at the Marabu Starlight Club and responsible for the hit single “Grand Piano”, another prime example of “Italo-house”, while Limoni was the computer and keyboard whizz kid of the trio.
